THE END

THE END is an envisioned organization that informs people that gun laws should be heightened and enforced. Last year was the worst year for gun deaths in our nation in fifty years. Forty thousand people died from gun violence. For much too long, Congress has refused to act effectively to protect our communities. Enforcing universal background checks is essential to lowering the number of shootings in America. These checks are proven to save lives, and voicing to government officials the need for legislation to facilitate them is crucial. S.42, The Background Check Expansion Act, is a bill currently being debated that will establish new background check requirements for firearm transfers between private parties. To implement action for this critical cause, I designed a mailing card that describes S.42 and how it is a necessary step in changing this growing epidemic. Individuals are encouraged to sign their name as a vote to get this bill passed. Once signed, the cards are intended to be gathered together and sent to our leaders who can influence legislation.
